14 Things a Girl With Mostly Guy Friends Will Understand.

I grew up following two cousins who are guys, then I was followed by my brother. I am a true blue daddy's girl and most of my childhood friends were boys. It didn't change even when I entered high school and college.

There are perks and downsides of being a girl with mostly guy friends A.K.A. "one of the guys". Here are a few:

  1. When they see you, you’re either greeted with  a loud “What’s up man?” or “Yo dude!”

  2. I could have sworn I have two X chromosomes.

  3. Followed by a high five or a fist bump.

    Or some weird ass handshake.

  4. Your swear word vocabulary is two times broader than most girls.

It's so broad that if your grandmother heard you, you'll be eating soap for a week.

  5. Which are useful when you play video games with them.
And you couldn't help think you're turning into a female Gordon Ramsay.
  6. You have become immune to green and bathroom jokes.

    Hohum.
    .
  7. You lost count on how many times you’ve been called a tomboy.

    Surprise, surprise. *rolls eyes*

  8. Because they talk to you about girls like as if you were a boy.

    Say what?

  9. That's why when you're all dressed up, they majorly freak out.

It's like they saw freaking ET.

  10. People assume you're dating all, if not, at least four of them.

    Puh-lease.
  11. And because of that, it takes months (even years!) to convince their girlfriends you're just a girl[space]friend.

    It's like discussing quantum physics.

  12. When the guy you like texts you, you don’t have to over analyze because your guy friends can translate it for you.

    Oh. Cool.
  13. They demand to meet the guy you're dating.

So they can make sure he treats you properly.
  14. You know that they will always have your back.

  15. And they know you have theirs.

Because, you know... you're family. :)
